Survival of the fittest

Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds, popularly known as PUBG, is an action and adventure game where players are pitted against each other in a thrilling fight for survival. With challenging terrains to explore, powerful weapons to try, and up to 100 enemies on the battlefield, PUBG is one of the best battle royale games that can give you exhilarating gameplay.

There can only be one

The game is all about being the last person standing after a relentless exchange of fists and fire. Marooned on an island with 100 others, chaos quickly ensues the moment players land on the ground from a seemingly endless parachute ride. That is to say that during the descend, players can choose where to land on the island by going for the area’s direction. This is advantageous to PUBG veterans who have already mastered the terrain. As for the first-timers, landing on an unknown area is the beginning of a wild and unpredictable adventure. The second everyone makes a successful landing, the adrenaline kicks in and it is every man for himself.

Finding weapons and protective gears is your topmost priority upon landing, especially if there is a bunch of other players present in your area. You would not want to be caught off guard or held at a disadvantage. Guns, knives, bulletproof vests, and first-aid kits are not unlimited. When someone else beats you to the loot, the only way to take it is to eliminate the enemy, which of course is what your opponent will also be trying to do to you. But aside from the threats brought by the other players who are out for your blood, there is another thing you need to worry about while playing the game. Getting attacked is not the only way for you to die and lose the round. Keep in mind that the battleground is surrounded by a force-field that gradually shrinks as time elapses. This means that the area where you can wander around will get limited, preventing players from hiding in one place forever and pushing everyone to inevitably face each other until only one remains.

Know your way around

PUBG is all about survival and if you want to win the game, you should always be prepared to defend yourself. Hide, attack, strategize, and familiarize yourself with the map. As mentioned above, old-timers already have the advantage of knowing which areas have the most loot and the best hiding places to stage an ambush. Once you get to really know the different corners of the island, you can use this knowledge to strategize and be one step ahead of others.

Additionally, aside from knowing which areas have what, you should also be observant of your surrounding for any tell-tale signs that you might have some company. For instance, at the start of the game, all doors are closed. May it be houses or building, the doors are shut unless someone’s already opened them. This means that if you chance upon a house with an open door, either someone’s already looted the area or someone is in there waiting for the perfect time to shoot you.

The lone victor

PUBG can be considered as a classic battle royale game that players will surely enjoy with how straightforward and simple the mechanics are. The goal is clear as crystal and that is to be the last player alive after a round of gunfire and explosions.
